FALLING DOWN & RISING ABOVE

Yesterday I took a very bad fall while mountain biking……it was a drop-bridge that I had done before, but this time I didn’t land it well.  I ended up in emergency, with a torn ligament in my left hand.

So now I am struggling to do the most basic of things, and appreciating the fact that my injuries could have been much worse.  Imagine if it was my right hand –    I don’t even want to think about it.

Today I worked on a painting that has been a work in progress for a long time.  It’s not even a very big one (only 16 x 20), but it has had me stumped after many a painting session.  Today I had a breakthrough, and I’m pleased to say that it was the best part of my day and I’m glad I got out of bed after all
