GOALS….AND STUFF

It is Jan. 26th, 2013.  I turned a year older this week, and today I am reflecting on the concept of a New Year laid out before me….to be discovered, lived, etc…..

What will it take to make 2013 a “successful” year?

First of all, I have to define what a successful year would be – which means I need to set some goals.  In order to set goals, I need to identify my values.  What are my priorities? my strenghts? my weaknesses? my ambitions? my fears? my DREAMS?

That’s a lot to contemplate.  I fear failure, so setting goals is a bit intimidating!  Perhaps I should just “do my best” every day ….. would that be sufficient to make 2013 successful?   Likely not.

I will begin this somewhat overwhelming task of setting goals by writing out some of my key Values:

Integrity, Peace, Family & Friends, Honoring God & all of His Creation……   there are more, but I am attempting to keep this concise.

Actions:  Paint!  and on that note, I have worked on 3 pieces this week.  Here they are…….
