Healing Through Art

Before I took up painting, I was a person who was tormented by OCD and perfectionism. (If you look up the definition of “neat freak” in the dictionary, my name would be listed...)

Somewhere along the way, painting healed me. It took away that need for “control” and allowed me to lean in to the creative chaos that sometimes exists in my studio.

Today, I have chosen art over OCD. I can live with a less-than-perfect house, as I’d rather invest my time painting - or being with family & friends for that matter.
