What’s the connection between painting & parenting?  There are several!  I love them both ….. they are both really, really hard …. there are no guarantees the ‘subject’ will turn out the way you want 

On Saturday I had to drive my ‘baby’ (19 yrs old) to the airport.  Jasper has embarked on the adventure of a lifetime – a one-way ticket to New Zealand!  I don’t know when I’ll see him next, and it was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done to say goodbye.  Here’s the last photo of us together (this is what I look like when I smile through my tears):

When a painting turns out well & goes to a new home, I can paint another one. When my son goes to a new home, it’s a bit more complicated.
