RECREATING A MASTERPIECE…..

I met a wonderful couple this Summer at the Harmony Arts Festival in West Vancouver (Ambleside / Dundarave). They fell in love with a painting of mine that was already sold – “Windswept” – a Seascape triptych that I sold to a couple that have since become 2 of my favourite collectors! I agreed to attempt to “re-create” Windswept (of course it will be different than the first as I am wholeheartedly opposed to copying anything, including my own work).

The results so far are shocking me. I started out just doing a ‘job’….and ended up falling in love with this new creation! Late today I sent photos to the couple that commissioned me to do this painting for them, and now I await their feedback. I am enjoying a feeling of peace that if this seascape is not for them, there is someone else out there that will have a heart-connection with it. Whatever the outcome, I have very much enjoyed the process of creating it! I hope you enjoy………
