GRATITUDE & YEAR END REFLECTIONS
I am filled with gratitude today as I reflect on how blessed I am to have such a loving family & amazing friends. As 2015 comes to a close, I am reflecting on the highs & lows of the year…..there are many of both. I have grown this year – a lot – mostly from the ‘lows’, as that’s how it seems to work!
Leading up the start of a New Year, I can’t help but hope it will be a year full of ‘highs’ (ie, successes, good health, prosperity, etc…..), and I hope for this not just for myself & those close to me, but for everyone! Of course that is not realistic, and ultimately what I need to hope for is grace to accept what comes in the year ahead. I love to hear stories of victory – where a seemingly insurmountable obstacle is overcome & strength, growth & confidence have been increased. We can’t celebrate the victories without the inevitable battles – the struggles. These are the things that make our story real & inspirational. So perhaps I will rethink my wishes for the year ahead …… I won’t be asking for hardship & challenges, but I want to be willing to embrace them when the come (and we all know they will!).
I close with a heart full of joy & expectation …. a bit of fear & a total commitment to being genuine & persistent in 2016. I can’t wait to create my first painting of the year! Will it be totally abstract? a bit abstract? bold & bright or soft & serene? I have no idea! But I promise it will be a genuine expression of my intuitive painting journey.
Here is my last painting of 2015…….
