MERRY CHRISTMAS!! (?)

For starters, I’d like to wish you a very Merry Christmas —– the best of the season – love, joy, peace, family & friends.

It is truly a sacred time of year, and here is one of my new landscapes from my “Sacred Contemplation” Series …

Preparing for Christmas this year is a bit harder than usual.  I’m excited to have almost all of our family coming for dinner on the 25th!  I’m sad that my son, Jasper won’t be here with us. He is still in New Zealand and will likely be there until Summer – we miss him!!!

Dec. 4th was a very sad day – our sweet dog, Samson was put to sleep in my arms. Russ & I have known him since he was 6 days old! I made ‘baby blankets’ for him when he was still at the breeders. We picked him up as an early 6th birthday present for Jasper, in November 2001.

This will be our first Christmas since that he is not with us to celebrate.

While Christmas is a very joyous occasion, it can also be a painful one for many. My heart & prayers go out to all those who struggle at this time of year.
